Personal profile

Introduction

I work as Teaching Assistant and PhD Researcher at the Department of Germanic Languages & Literatures and at the NaLTT Research Institute of the University of Namur. The emotional, ideological and political aspects of language and multilingualism in the longstanding 'Belgian conflict' intrigue me greatly. I examine how these dimensions play a role in language debate, language policy and language acquisition concering 'the language of the Other', learning much from the classes with our students of Dutch as a second language.
