Personal profile

Introduction

Alain Decrop is Full professor of marketing at the Faculty of economics, social sciences and business administration at the University of Namur. He is a Founding member of CeRCLe (Center for Research on Consumption and Leisure) and of CCMS (Center on Consumers and Marketing Strategy). Ph.D. in Business Administration, economist and historian, he teaches classes of marketing, consumer behavior and qualitative methods. His current research interests focus on decision-making processes and contemporary consumption phenomena, with applications most often related to tourism and leisure. He published a large number of books, chapters and articles in top-tier journals around these topics. He is a former President of afm (French Marketing Association).
