German-speaking Literature of the 20th Century and Literary Historicism

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The German-speaking literature of the 20th century (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) excels at diversity. The project especially looks for the specifities of each of these three literatures, based on their different socio-culturel and socio-political contexts. One of his main concerns is the question how we can describe these three literatures simultanously and how we can mediate it to a non german-speaking public which is placed in a different cultural context (in Belgium, for example).
