Résumé

The purpose of this thesis is to collect and analyze citizens' perceptions about the introduction of facial recognition technologies in our smart cities and the use of our data. Thus, by means of a literature review covering the concepts of smart cities, facial recognition and data security and privacy, we have been able in a second step to try to understand where citizens stand. Are they willing to give up some of their privacy at the expense of better security in smart cities? Are they confident about the introduction of facial recognition and, if so, under which conditions? These are questions that will aim to be answered through this thesis.
