Abstract

N-broadening coefficients have been measured for 28 lines of CHF in the P, Q, and R branches of v parallel band, and in the P, Q, R, P, Q, and R branches of the v perpendicular band, using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer. The lines with J values ranging from 3 to 27, and K from 0 to 6 (K ≤ J), are located in the spectral range 1416-1553 cm. The collisional widths obtained by fitting Rautian profiles to the measured shape of the lines are slightly larger than those derived from Voigt profiles. A semiclassical calculation of the N-broadening coefficients has provided results that are generally in satisfactory agreement with our experimental data.
