Abstract
The quality of "Learning Support" activities in Higher Education depends on several factors that need to be considered and analysed in order to ensure their efficiency. A team of teachers and researchers from different Belgian higher education institutions, active in these initiatives, has explored the quality process of these actions in order to try and delineate their characteristics, difficulties and limits.
The members of the team confronted their experiences and elaborated a framework of assessment practices which was presented at the 25th AIPU congress which was held May 2006 in Montpellier.
This paper presents a model and framework that highlights the key questions that must be addressed in the assessment process of a learning support system. The dimensions of the model are described and clarified through three concrete examples.
