Description
The evolution of mobile communications and the Internet has lead to the third generation of cellular networks, known as UMTS. In this evolution, new applications/services have been designed requiring QoS guarantees with respect to data transfer reliability, available bandwidth and delay/jitter bounds. The goal of this PhD is twofold: building a testbed simulating a UTRAN segment and improving network algorithms to meet QoS requirements.
