Project Details

Description

Ultra-thin gold layers and gold nanodots are grown on quartz to study their interactions with self-assembled monolayers of various thiols and proteins by means of sum-frequency generation spectroscopy in the attenuated total reflexion (ATR) configuration, which improves the SFG sensitivity to surface vibrations by one order of magnitude.
