Description

The numerical solution of nonlinear optimization problems arising in infinite dimensions (optimal control, variational problems,...) can exploit the different levels of discretization used to represent the problem in finite dimensions. The project's objective is to develop and analyze efficient algorithms in this important domain, as well as to extend the concepts and methods to multiscale applications.
