Résumé

There are several quality models used to evaluate software systems in general; however, none of them is dedicated to Open Source Software applications. The aim of this work is to propose a model for Open Source Software system. The proposed model is a stakeholder-centric model. We also analyze and study several existing software quality models namely : Mc-Call’s(Rawashdeh and Matalkah, 2006), ISO Standard (ISO/IEC, 1991), Dromey (Dromey, 1995)and (Dromey, 1996), the QSOS model (QSOS, 2007), the Capgemini Open Source Maturity Model (F. and C., 2003) and the Open Business Readiness Rating (OpenBRR, 2005). We present limitations found in the existing models such as the trend to ignore certain quality feature like functionality or the failure to describe how the quality measurement in these models has been carried out.
