    Résumé

The purpose of this paper is to present the features of PACSIM, a event driven model allowing to simulate the time evolution of traffic flows in urban area. We will fo-cus on its behavioural characteristics, how it allows to deal with cars and buses and how it also incorporates a traffic information system into the simulation. Then we will show how the model has been further developed to cope with pollutant emissions computations and finally present how it is recently upgraded to interact with a dy-namic signal phases manager.
