N2 - In this paper, scenarios of the built environment of a coastal town-Cromer are developed via using an innovative Agent-Based Model (ABM), which distributes housing demand based on algorithms describing interacting agents at the local and regional levels and taking account of the different socio-economic futures, and a CA spatial model is developed in a VR-GIS integrated environment, which is used as the 3D visualization engine to distribute the increased housing demand explicitly to 3D geographical space, which is real-world GIS data based. The scenarios can be used to better understand and estimate the regional climate changes, urban-rural temperature shifts and biodiversity etc.
