Détails du projet
Description
Among the countries of Southeast Asia, Vietnam is probably home to one of the richest repertoires of tropical biota, both in terms of plants and micro-organisms.
Traditional medicine uses local plants, but the vast majority of biological activities that may be hidden in this environment are still unknown and the economic exploitation of this natural wealth is not yet effective in northern Vietnam, leading in part to poor economic development and low incomes, particularly in remote rural and mountainous areas.
The proposed project will significantly strengthen the capacity of UNV's research groups to study the bioactivities and socio-economic potential of natural products for therapeutic purposes and as food supplements for animals and/or humans.
