Abstract

Software Product Line Engineering is a software development paradigm which is a combination of Software Engineering and Product Line Engineering. During the last few years, this paradigm has rapidly emerged because it allows realising significant improvements in time-to-market, cost, productivity and quality. To bring help to Software Product Lines management, many tools have been developed by the industry and the research community. A global observation is that, in a big size industrial context, the management of Software Product Lines is quite complex even with the presence of these tools. In order to deal with this complexity, new researches have been proposed for the integration of visualisation in Software Product Line Engineering. The underlying idea of this integration is to use the visual potential to manage these Software Product Lines. Motivated by this novel concept, the purpose of this thesis is to provide a solution that could support visualisation in Software Product Lines management tools. This solution could help the engineer in order to manage these last ones in a simple and efficient manner.
