Abstract

The Typhon project aims to develop a methodology and technical infrastructure to support the graceful evolution of hybrid polystores, where multiple, possibly overlapping NoSQL and SQL databases may co-evolve consistently.
This paper has for objective to improve the performance of the polystore by using a benchmark to analyse and make some recommendation and use visualisation tools to get keys information.
Based on a threefold approach, we have made a literature review for each topic, bring a contribution and adapt the finding to the polystore environment, and created an implementation.
The output of this research is a set of tools and recommendations to improve query performance and help users make the appropriate choice in designing the data model.
Those tools could be integrated into Typhon environment and help the user unleash the full potential of polystore.
