Enseignement des probabilités dans le secondaire

Abstract

The subject probabilities has not always been part of secon dary education programs. It has appeared late in those programs. This work aims at analysing the teaching of probabilities in secondary education. It brings to lignt the various approaches of probability seen in literature and analyses how they have been dealt with in secondary education programs. It also tackles suggestions of some schoolbooks. This work also shows the results of a survey carried out among teachers and pupils. The aim was to see how teachers manage to see the various approaches of probability. Which difficulties do both teachers and pupils meet? What can be the benefit of teaching probabilities in secondary education?
