AbstractThe discovery of exoplanets renews interest in the study of the dynamics of planetary systems. The large eccentricities of such planets limit the application of classical analysis. We study secular effects of planets with low to moderate eccentricities. We analyse the phase space of the three-body problem, which is reduced to a sphere. We recover and clarify T.A. Michtchenko and R. Malhotra's results about the existence of a zone of nonlinear secular resonance for moderate eccentricities.
