Developing agents in the RoboCupRescue simulation project

Abstract

RobotCupRescue is a research project which the purpose is to provide emergency decision support by integration of disaster information, prediction, planning, and human interface. The main objective of this document is to help new agent developers in this project. To do it, we detail the rescue agents conception by specifying in a clarified way the various steps of development. We give also, as example, our source code with complete explanations, what will allow a better assimilation of the specificities imposed by the project. To be complete, this work introduce the notions of agent, multi-agent system and of multi-agent simulation and confronts them with the project.
