Abstract

This personal project explores how the central bank of Mexico reacted to the financial crisis of 2008. To evaluate it, alternative interest rates are estimated and their implications are assessed with the objective to verify if they are able to promote a better recovery in terms of reduction of unemployment when compared with the current decision taken by the Bank of Mexico
