    Abstract

In this thesis, based on the paper of R. Bouyekhf and alii, "modelling, performance evaluation and planning of public transport systems using generalized stochastic Petri nets", Transport reviews, 2003, Vol. 23, No. 1, 51-69, we propose a use of the stochastic Petri nets in the management of public transports. This work starts with an introduction to the Petri nets, and, more specifically, to the timed Petri nets and to the stochastic Petri nets. These nets are mostly used as tools for the modelling of different systems. Following this, we propose a use of the stochastic Petri nets for a public transport system. Moreover, with this use, we also demonstrate how the analyse of the Petri net modelling the public transport systems is based on the Markov process.
