Three-wave mixing in chiral liquids

Abstract

A model of the second-order nonlinear optical properties of simple chiral liquids is presented. The estimates from the model, and the results from high-level ab initio computations, suggest that three-wave mixing in chiral liquids is much smaller than previously thought.
