The filter idea and its application to the nonlinear feasibility problem

    Abstract

    The note presents an outline of the filter-trust-region idea applied to the nonlinear feasibility problem with special emphasis on systems of nonlinear equations. The main algorithmic ingredients are discussed, the algorithm is outlined and some motivating numerical results presented.
