Abstract

Maintaining and supporting the software of an organization is not an easy task, and software maintainers do not currently have access to decision support systems (DSS) to evaluate strategies for improving the specific activities of software maintenance. This article presents a DSS which helps in locating best practices offered by a software maintenance maturity model (S3m). The contributions of this paper are: 1) to instrument a maturity model with a DSS tool to aid software maintenance practitioners in locating specific best practices that could help them answer their questions.
