Self-broadening coefficients of chloromethane at low temperature in the ν2 band

Research output: Contribution to conferencePoster

Abstract

The understanding and monitoring of the climate change is of pri-mary importance for the future. In order to get proper predictions,we need very accurate spectroscopic parameters. In this work,we studied the self-broadening of thechloromethane at low temperature. The chloromethane in ourupper atmosphere is responsible, as a chlorine ion source, of theozone depletion [1]. Since the diminution of CFC gases, it hasbecome one of the major source of chlorine. The chloromethaneoriginates from natural sources, such as biomass burnings [2] andtropical forests, and from human activities [3].
