Abstract
This paper presents a competence-based, matricial and anchored approach to defining the competences that make up contemporary media, information and digital literacies. By returning to the main implications of using the concept of competence, by proposing to decouple and cross the dimensions commonly confused by existing reference frameworks, and by insisting on the need to anchor competences in the actual practices of individuals, this contribution provides a framework for considering the convergence between these three educational projects.
