Abstract
Highly thermally stable Faujasite X zeolites with organic-bridged frameworks (ZOF-X) have been for the first time synthesized, in which oxygen atoms in the zeolite frameworks are partially superseded by methylene groups using methylene-bridged bis[triethoxysilyl]methane (BTESM) as a unique silicon source. The presence and the amount of the methylene groups within the framework have been revealed and determined by a series of techniques such as 29Si and 13C MAS NMR, XRD, SEM-EDS, FTIR, TG, N2 adsorption and elemental analysis. The present study showed that the synthesis of ZOF-X materials is quite sensitive to many parameters such as the crystallization and the ageing conditions and finally the batch compositions.
