    Abstract

One of the objectives of the ONCE project is the involvement of children in the process of compiling a list of good sites, i.e. sites that contain educational or positive recreational materials.

In order to do so, the Belgian partners of the ONCE project went to 7 French-speaking Belgian schools and, notably, ask to children and students "What kind of web site do you visit'".

The database of 'kewl sites' that was expected from the project and that is presented in this deliverable is based on the answers given to the 4th question.

Regarding the objective described above, which was "creating a list of good sites", 'good' being defined as containing educational or positive recreational materials, we can say that this definition was 'adult-oriented'. For children and we can see that by looking at the list provided in the deliverable, 'good' is not necessarily related to educational or positive recreational materials. They love looking at web sites about their preferred TV programs, their stars (in music, movie, sport, '), on chat or to send SMS, '
