Abstract
Caronic esters have been prepared by cyclopropanation of tricarbalkoxy ethylenes by 2-metallo-2-nitropropanes or 2-metallo-2-phenylsulfonyl propanes. The best results are obtained when the reaction steps are carried out in two different solvents.
