Abstract
We analyze the effect of propaganda in an opinion dynamics model in which individuals adjust, under certain conditions, their opinion as a result of random binary encounters. The aim of this paper is to study under what condition propaganda changes the dynamics of a sociological system. Four different scenarios are found, being characterized by different sensitivities on the propaganda signal. For each scenario the maximum efficiency of propaganda is attained following a given strategy that is here outlined.
