    Abstract

Using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer coupled with a low temperature cell, He-, Ne- and Kr-broadening coefficients of 8 lines in the fundamental ν3 band of CS2 have been measured at five low temperatures: 173 K, 198 K, 223 K, 248 K and 273 K. These lines with J values ranging from 2 to 78 are located in the spectral range 1514-1544 cm -1, four lines in the P branch and four in the R branch. The collisional half-widths have been obtained by adjusting each experimental profile with a Voigt, Rautian and Galatry lineshape model. For each line, the collisional broadening coefficients obtained at low temperature and those previously at room temperature have been used to deduce the n-parameter of the temperature dependence. We have also determined the average value of the temperature dependence of collisional broadening coefficients for lines in the ν3 band of CS2 diluted in helium, neon and krypton.
