Abstract

Chem. equivalence in sym. polyazaarom. ligands is not necessarily retained in the corresponding heteroleptic Ru(II) complexes, and the assignment of the 1H NMR spectrum of these octahedral metallic compds. is therefore not straightforward. Full assignment of [Ru(L)2(L')]2+ (L, L' = sym. polyazaarom. bidentate ligands) can be achieved from long-range interligand NOE measurements. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley and Sons, Ltd.
