Abstract

The electronic properties of pure allotropic forms of carbon are reviewed and discussed in a comprehensive way. The paper covers both experimental measurements and electronic structure calculations. Properties of carbon materials directly related to their electronic structure are discussed. The paper is illustrated by nine figures and three tables, and contains many numerical data.
