    Abstract

The IR spectrum of unstable HSnBr has been studied in the ν ν region with a diode laser employing material highly enriched in Sn and Br. In 10 portions, typical width ∼0.5 cm, of the spectrum in the range 681-723 cm more than 350 lines belonging to ν and ν were measured and assigned. After merge with 250 low-weighted, previously measured FT data associated with KΔK > 0 lines of ν, these were fitted, σ {reversed tilde equals} 1 × 10 cm, to yield substantially improved ν, ν parameters.
