Abstract

Using a tunable diode-laser spectrometer, N- and O-broadening coefficients have been measured in the P and R branches of the ν band of CHD. The collisional widths have been obtained by fitting Voigt and Rautian profiles to the measured shapes of the lines. Semi-classical calculations of the broadening coefficients have shown the importance of the non-electrostatic contributions in the anisotropic intermolecular potential.
