Bioconversion of CO2 by photochemical materials

Research output: Contribution in Book/Catalog/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

Photochemical materials for use in bioreactors that are based on the principles of photosynthesis, have been fabricated by entrapping thylakoids, chloroplasts or plant cells within porous silica matrices. These hybrid materials are able to convert water into O and to produce valuable organic compounds from CO under light irradiation (Fuels from light).
