N2 - A tunable diode-laser spectrometer was used to perform measurements of absolute line intensities for 100 transitions in the ν fundamental band of CHCl centered at 7.5 μm. From these data, the vibrational band-strength S was significantly determined as S = 33.46 ± 0.39 cm atm and the first Herman-Wallis factor (-3.05 ± 0.27) × 10.
