Abstract

The infrared spectra of the ν band of ClCN have been measured with a resolution of 0.0026 cm using a Fourier transform spectrometer. Eight bands of ClCN, five bands of ClCN, and one band of ClCN have been analyzed to obtain accurate bands origins and rotational constants. The accuracy of the calculated band origins is better than 0.0005 cm. A first determination of quartic and sextic vibrational constants is proposed.
