Project: PHD

Project Details

Description

The fundamentalist regime of Iran, founded in 1979 by the religious leader Khomeini, has brutally persecuted all political opponents. Since then, many Iranians have fled into exile. Considerung the effects of these enforced cultural and linguistic transgressions, the focus of the research project is on the analysis of transculturality and identity building in some prose works written in German by exiled Iranian authors now living in Germany (e.g. SAID).
