Tools from structural biology will be used to understand the structure-function relationships of two membrane enzymes, COX-2 and FAAH, involved in metabolism of neuromodulator fatty acid amides and esters

The goal of the project is to study the structural properties and mechanisms of action (or inhibition) of FAAH and COX-2, and to compare them. This work will give some insights to design dual COX-2/FAAH inhibitors which is an original and interesting strategy in the therapeutic field.
