Description
The doctorate is situated in the interdisciplinary field of art history and psychoanalysis. The thesis is introduced by an historical overview of psychobiographies of plastic artists, almost exclusively realised by psychoanalysts. Then an interdisciplinary psychobiographical method is elaborated, starting from the art historical analysis. Finally the method is illustrated by examples of psychobiographies.
