The objective of my thesis is to identify the logics which prevailed and continue to govern the installation of works of art, the ones connected with others, in art galleries. The adopted historic approach permits me to elaborate a catalogue of distinctive cases which illustrate these various logics. In term of research, I will try to understand how these logics permit the perception and interpretation of works by visitors.
