Study of the function of the MAGE proteins in the mouse

Project: PHD

Project Details

Description

The mMAGE-a and mMage-B genes are specifically expressed in male germline cells and in some tumor cells. The MAGE-D genes differ from other MAGE genes with repect to their ubiquitous expression profile, their higher degree of conservation between mammalian species, and their genomic organization. In order to elucidate the function of the MAGE genes, knock-out mice will be engineered. A yeast two-hybrid approach is used to identify protein partners.
