Study of phytoplancton grazing by small zooplankton in the Meuse and Moselle rivers

Project: PHD

Project Details

Description

The impact of zooplankton grazing on lake phytoplankton is well known. Nevertheless, due to the small size of river zooplankton, mainly composed by rotifers, its impact on river phytoplankton was considered negligible. This study emphasize on the impact of rotifer grazing on the biomass and composition (size classes) of riverine phytoplankton.
