Study of pharmacophore models of non-peptide AT1 angiotensin II receptor antagonists

Project: PHD

Project Details

Description

Angiotensin II is an octapeptide which possesses potent vasoconstrictor properties. Non-peptide AT1-selective angiotensin II receptor antagonists have been developed to treat hypertension. A comparative analysis of their structural and electronic properties leads us to generate pharmacophore models.
