Project Details

Description

This research project consists in the structural study of membrane proteins involved in the
resistance of cancer cells to the effect of chemotherapeutic agents (eg: etoposide). Studied
protein is the membrane protein TMEM45A. The aim of this thesis is to study structure,
morphology (number of transmembrane segments and N and C-terminus orientation) and
the interactions of the protein in order to understand its mode of action. In addition to the
TMEM45A protein, this project focuses on direct interactants to better understand the
mechanism of cancer cell resistance.
