Role of NRF-2 in the activation of murine macrophages in the presence of oxidized LDL

Project: PHD

Project Details

Description

We investigate the effects of oxidized LDL (either by copper sulfate or in the presence of myeloperoxidase) on murine RAW264.7 macrophagic cells. We evaluate the effects on gene expression and on the activation of the transcription factor Nrf2 and on the UPR, trying to unravel the signalling mechanisms leading to either an adaptive response or to cell death.
