Description

The psycho-acoustic model is based on many studies of human perception. These studies have shown that in the average, human beings do not hear all frequencies the same. Effects due to different sounds in the environment and limitations of the human sensory system lead to facts that can be used to cut out useful data for the psychological development and for the learning of foreign languages, for instance. In the first years, children are able to hear and pronounce any phonemes. Progressively, the influence of their sociocultural environment, induce various restrictions. The study try to differentiate between the hearing system response and the cerebral perception. From those results, guidelines are proposed to balance specific deficiencies. Efforts are oriented toward young children, in order to prevent important modifications in the auditory spectrum. In that way, we investigate specific games available to young children. A survey of the background leads to many measurements, done in many different cases: ages, social contexts, life habits, ' and with special audiometer and accessories adapted to young children.
