Description

Research on the image and perception of the Arabs (and by opposition, of the Jews) given by French speaking travellers to Palestine. Study on the representation of the Arabs given to the numerous readers of popular travel literature. We pay attention to the origins of the stereotypes and to the evolution of this image throughout the century (1800-1948).
