Mobility, dynamics and social networks

Location is increasingly becoming a crucial facet of many online
services: people appear more willing to share information about their geographic position with friends. As a
consequence, service providers have access to a valuable source of data on the geographic location of users, as
well as to online friendship connections among them. The proposed research project aims at examining social
network dynamics in connection with the physical space in which interactions take place.
