Description

The realization of junctions including two tunneling barriers (STM tip - C60 - Oxyde layer on substrate) and incorporating isolated alkali atoms in C60 monolayers, allows the observation and the control of the ionization of the alkali atom. The whole system allows a thorough analysis of the role played by alkali atoms and other impurities in fullerene nanosystems.
